ABOUT
Hello! Welcome! I’m P.S. Unruh, author of Restless Prairie Wind in the Spring. I have lived in a small town in the middle of Kansas all my life. During my childhood I spent a lot of time with a book in hand, immersing myself in stories that someone else wrote, imagining writing stories myself. I always tried to save and make a pet of any furry creature that needed help. We lived on the corner where the neighborhood kids gathered to play tag, hide and seek, tell secrets and explore nature. I grew up, married and as an adult I spent a few years in the banking world. Soon four children came along and we chose for me to stay home with them. One of my greatest joys! Spending time with them, teaching them, encouraging them to explore the world! I eventually followed them to school so I could help other children feel safe, to find their voice and explore the world! I had many different roles during this time not only working in Public School but also with a Home School. Another of my greatest joys was becoming a Grandma! All of this time I continued to write poetry and short stories as a hobby but was hesitant to think I could reveal them to the world. Here I am with the first of, what I hope to be, many children’s picture books available for you. I am so fortunate to have the encouragement of so many to take this big step. You know who you are - thank you SO much!
Pam :)
